Hey, I’m Roo (or Ross).
I’ve always been fascinated by how the human body works. The way it moves, adapts and compensates - I find it genuinely incredible. That curiosity started early and eventually led me to study remedial therapy and health science, which felt like a natural fit for the way I think about the body.
Health anxiety played a role in that too. Not understanding what my body was doing sent me looking for answers, and what started as a worried obsession gradually became a real passion. The more I learned, the better things got - and I've seen that same shift happen for clients who finally understand what's been going on in their own body.
I hold a Diploma in Remedial Massage and Health Science and I'm beginning my studies as a Chek Practitioner, which is shaping how I think about assessment, movement and the body as a whole system. That approach is behind everything I do at Roomedial.
My life outside work is pretty simple. Family and movement.
I'm golf obsessed, I train Brazilian jiu jitsu, I surf when I can, and I love a beer with good mates.
For me movement has always been about more than fitness. It's about being able to keep up. Surfing with my three kids, playing soccer on the weekend, being the dad who says yes instead of sitting it out. That's what being healthy actually means to me - not how you look or what you can lift, but what you can do and who you can do it with.
I want that for you, too.
